Hoyer for Congress is looking for an energetic, politically minded, and progressive unpaid intern for the fall semester. Duties would include helping recruit volunteers, talk with local activists, set up community events, attend political meetings and various office duties and research projects as needed. Applicants should have excellent written and oral communication skills, good judgment, knowledge of Microsoft Word is required. Experience with the Internet, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.

Field Organizer
Hoyer for Congress is looking for an experienced field organizer to join our campaign.

Duties Include:
Volunteer recruitment and management
Voter contact strategy and tactics (design and implementation)
Canvass and phone bank organization (design and implementation)
Building and attending campaign and community events
Outreach and relationship building with friends and allies
Get-Out-The-Vote organization (design and implementation)
Data capture and entry

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A college degree and a cycle of organizing experience preferred. Must have a car and be willing to work flexible hours.

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with experience. Health care provided.
