What Does Health Care Do For You?

This legislation puts you in charge – not insurance companies – of your health care.

Some of the benefits include:

·        Making health insurance affordable –  this is one of the largest middle class tax cuts in history reduces the premiums and out-of-pocket expenses for American families and small business owners.

·        Gives American families the same access as big businesses have to a competitive health insurance market that keeps costs down.

·        Reducing the deficit by $130 billion over the next ten years, and by $1.2 trillion over the next twenty years.  These numbers come directly from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

·        Improving Medicare benefits by closing the “donut hole” and lowering prescription drug costs, offering free preventative care and protecting Medicare for the long term.

·        Holding insurance companies accountable to ensure that they cannot deny coverage for pre-existing conditions, keeping premiums down and ending the caps on coverage.
