Hoyer Announces Endorsement by End Citizens United

BOWIE, MD - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) announced his endorsement for re-election by the organization End Citizens United, which promotes greater transparency, accountability, and ethics in government and has worked to end the corrupting influence of dark money in politics. End Citizens United also advocates for stronger voting rights protections so that our democracy reflects the voices and views of all of its citizens. Working closely with End Citizens United, Congressman Hoyer was instrumental in the passage of H.R. 1, the For the People Act, which would require greater disclosure of political donations, enhance voting-rights protections, and hold elected officials more accountable to high standards of ethics and transparency. He also helped lead the effort to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act to strengthen our democracy and fight back against GOP-led attempts to suppress the right to vote.
