Hoyer Attends the 42nd Annual Charles County Democratic Central Committee TKO Dinner
WALDORF, MD -- Last night, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) attended the Charles County Democratic Central Committee's 42nd annual Truman-Kennedy-Obama Dinner. The theme of this year's dinner was "Wave of Women: Our Time is Now," and Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh served as the keynote speaker.
"I enjoyed greeting fellow Democrats in Charles County and celebrating the wave of Democratic women who are running for office in our community. We need women’s voices and women’s experiences in government, and I’m excited that Democratic women are running for office across the country, determined to effect change and work to ensure that everyone can make it in America.
"If we want to fight back against President Trump and the Republican agenda, we need to do it here in Charles County. If we want to take back the Congress and then the Presidency, we need to do it here in Maryland. I join in thanking Democrats in Charles County for the important work they are doing to help elect Democrats throughout Maryland."
