Hoyer Attends Prince George's County House Delegation Meeting
ANNAPOLIS, MD - This morning, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) attended a meeting of the Prince George's County House Delegation to provide an update on the legislative agenda for the 116th Congress.
"I appreciated the opportunity to join my colleagues in Annapolis this morning and detail how Democrats in Congress are working to expand access to opportunity for more of our families in Prince George's County," said Congressman Hoyer. "Already, I’ve brought to the Floor and the House has passed legislation to clean up corruption, help prevent gun violence, and ensure equal pay for equal work. We will continue to advance legislation to raise wages, lower health care and prescription drug costs, protect Dreamers and those with Temporary Protected Status, address climate change, and expand opportunity for families in Maryland and across the country.
"I will also continue to work with the Maryland Congressional Delegation to advance issues important to our state, including bringing the FBI headquarters to Prince George's County and ensuring federal funding for Metro," continued Congressman Hoyer. "I join in thanking the Prince George's County House Delegation for the hard work they are doing on behalf of residents of our County, including overriding the Governor’s veto of legislation to increase the minimum wage.”
