Hoyer Delivers Keynote Address at Washington County Democrats Jefferson-Jackson Dinner
HAGERSTOWN, MD – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement after he delivered the keynote address last night at the 2015 Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, hosted by the Washington County Democratic Central Committee:
“I was pleased to be in Hagerstown last night to celebrate the work of Democrats in Washington County and across the great state of Maryland. I can see the energy and passion among Democrats in Washington County, and I know they will play an important role in helping us take back the governorship in 2018 and holding Maryland's open seat in the Senate next year. Democrats' vision of equal opportunity and economic competitiveness ought to be the blueprint for strengthening Washington County, our state, and our country in the years ahead. I am confident that with the help of Washington County Democrats, their energy and advocacy, their fundraising and door-knocking, and their dedication and perseverance, we can transform recovery into prosperity and lead the way forward so that all of our people have the opportunity to make it in Maryland and make it in America.”
