Hoyer Receives High Score from the League of Conservation Voters
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced that Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) received a 97% rating on their 2017 Environmental Scorecard. Each year, the LCV, a national, nonpartisan environmental organization, rates each Member of Congress based on votes cast on environmental issues.
“I am pleased to receive this recognition from the League of Conservation Voters for my commitment to environmental issues,” said Congressman Hoyer. “Despite efforts by the Trump Administration to roll back public health and environmental protections, I’m proud of the work we’ve done to preserve Maryland’s precious natural resources, including the Chesapeake Bay. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues in Congress as well as the League of Conservation Voters to prevent further attacks on our clean air and water.”
