Hoyer Receives Human Rights Campaign Endorsement

BOWIE, MD - Today, the Human Rights Campaign, one of America's largest and most respected LGBTQ equality advocacy organizations, endorsed Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) for re-election to Congress from Maryland's Fifth District. A leader for LGBTQ rights and equality throughout his tenure in office, Hoyer has brought key civil rights legislation to the House Floor as Majority Leader to protect LGBTQ Americans and their families from discrimination. These include the Equality Act, the LGBTQI+ Data Inclusion Act, and legislation in 2010 to end the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
