Hoyer Statement on Joe Biden's Make It In America Speech

 

“For ten years, I have been proud to lead House Democrats’ Make It In America plan for jobs and opportunity, and I am excited that Vice President Biden is announcing policies today that draw on our plan to bring good jobs home, create more good jobs here, and enable American workers to get ahead. His proposal includes many of the key provisions House Democrats have championed, including a focus on supporting innovation in manufacturing and incentives to build it in America, grow it in America, and buy it in America.

I look forward as well to partnering with a Biden Administration to grow our manufacturing sector and end Donald Trump’s obsequiousness toward companies that ship American manufacturing jobs overseas and take advantage of tax loopholes while doing so.
