BOWIE, MD - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement on the appointment of Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) as Chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee:
"I congratulate Rep. Suzan DelBene on her appointment to Chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. From her work on the House Ways and Means Committee to her successful tenure as Chair of the New Democrat Coalition, she is a seasoned, disciplined, and hard-working leader with a deep understanding of the most pressing issues affecting the American people. Crucially, as a past Frontline Member she has a deep understanding of the challenges facing our Members in swing districts as well as the toughness necessary to hold extremist Republicans accountable. I am confident that she will help Democrats convey our optimistic vision for our nation's future to Americans across the country and help us retake the House Majority in 2024.
