Hoyer Visits NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center
GREENBELT, MD – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) visited NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center today to receive an update on the production of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The telescope will be launched into high-earth orbit in October 2018.
“I was pleased to visit NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center this afternoon to receive an update on the James Webb Space Telescope, and learn more about the satellite servicing done by the space scientists and engineers at NASA Goddard. Once launched, JWST will be the premiere observatory for thousands of astronomers across the world who are studying the history of our universe. I am exceptionally proud of the work done at NASA Goddard, and will continue to advocate for the federal employees who are critical to the success the institution.”
