BOWIE, MD - Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) announced nine endorsements from local officials in Anne Arundel County. These endorsements reflect support from local officials in the new areas now included in Maryland's Fifth District. In December, Congressman Hoyer secured 43 endorsements from local officials and leaders from across Prince George's County and Southern Maryland. Congressman Hoyer now has 52 endorsements from local officials across the Fifth District.
“I am very proud to have received endorsements from public servants across Anne Arundel County,” said Congressman Hoyer. “I am committed to continuing our efforts to strengthen opportunities for families in Anne Arundel and to making sure their voices are heard in Congress. During the pandemic, I worked hard to deliver for Marylanders, helping enact historic legislation like the American Rescue Plan to get shots in arms, support small businesses, and make sure families had extra money in their pockets to provide for themselves and their children. Building on that progress, I voted to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which is already making a difference in our communities with funding to modernize our infrastructure and create good-paying jobs in Anne Arundel County. I look forward to continuing to deliver on the priorities that our residents care about most by working hand-in-glove with the leaders of Anne Arundel County. I am pleased to have the support of so many community leaders and look forward to our continued advocacy on behalf of working families in Anne Arundel and across Maryland's Fifth District."
