Goldstein Dinner. U.S. House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md. 5th) received the Calvert County Democratic Central Committee’s Louis L. Goldstein Award for echoing the qualities of Goldstein a former Maryland comptroller and state senator representing Calvert County who died in 1998.

In one incident guardsmen watched insurgents load improvised explosive devices into two vehicles. “What our guys did was call in an airstrike and they dropped 500-pound bombs on the cars ” said spokesman Lt. Col. Charles Kohler.
Hoyer Pays Baden Medical A Visit

New Veterans Clinic Coming to Charlotte Hall

The outpatient clinics serve veterans who live in more rural areas. There is a clinic operating now at the campus of the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.
